Little English Explorers

Course Overview

Little English Explorers course is designed for learners aged 8–12. Using Cambridge Power Up and National Geographic Look, students build strong English skills through engaging lessons that develop confidence, fluency, and real-world communication. It combines the structured language development of Cambridge materials through inspiring, real-world content of National Geographic Learning, creating a pathway to confident English communication.

Themes

Each unit is built around engaging, age-appropriate themes such as family, school life, animals, travel, and global culture. As students progress, they explore more complex topics such as science, environment, and technology which help learners connect English with the world around them and use the language in meaningful, real-life contexts.

Language Objectives

Every level has clear learning outcomes for vocabulary, grammar, and communication skills. Students gradually move from simple word-based communication to more complex sentence structures and meaningful expression of ideas.

Core Skills

The course focuses on development of all four language skills:

• Listening through stories, dialogues, and authentic audio.
• Speaking through pair work, discussions, and presentations.
• Reading from short texts to more authentic materials.
• Writing from simple sentences to well-structured paragraphs.

Grammar & Vocabulary

Grammar and vocabulary are introduced systematically at each level, starting with essential structures in Power Up 1–2 and progressing to more advanced language use in the Look series. Each unit is reviewed, helping students build a strong foundation while expanding their vocabulary naturally.

Content Connections

Learning becomes more interdisciplinary at higher levels. Students explore topics connected to science, geography, nature, culture, and global issues, helping them understand English as a tool for real-world communication and learning.

Assessment

Regular progress checks and teacher feedback help track student development. Parents will receive feedback on their children's language growth, confidence, and communication ability at each stage.
